a student again

All semester I've wanted to post a picture of this old student back at DSU, but I didn't have anyone to take the picture. Finally, when Cindy and the boys finished school and Bonnie came to visit, I had a photographer. So, here it is... the picture of me at DSU once again.

I am finally finished with my first semester!!! Yea!!! I had no idea that school work could be so emotionally draining... but it can be. And, I am so glad that it is over for a few months. I managed to make all A's!!! Yea!!! I was pretty excited about that. I was also offered a job for next year in the counseling department. Yea!!! I was pretty excited about that too.

So, everything worked out and the semester finished up on a good note. Now, I am ready to enjoy the summer.

Hey Craig!!!

What a great surprise to see that you dropped by!

When I first started thinking about going back to school, I had visions of graduating at 40. I thought that would be sort of funny and symbolic in a strange sort of way.

eh... gave that idea up as a lost cause...

It would cause entirely too much strain and emotional distress on me. :-)

Now, I am looking to graduate at 41 and will be perfectly happy to do it.

I have a motto:

REMEMBER THE ALTERNATIVE

Whenever I start thinking that this school thing is just not for me, I tell myself, "You could be at Dollar General. You could be at Dollar General. You could be at Dollar General."

That always seems to provide the motivation to keep going. :-)

And, I know you know that too...

Have a good day.

Woo-hoo!! I'm sure you've had 4.0s before, but isn't it much more satisfying when you get one while doing something you really enjoy??!!

I'm so proud of you!!!

I also hear that Atlanta is nice in the summertime - with at least two places to stay and things to do... :o)

Love you! Susie
